Woe indeed. I was saddened to hear about the bomb blasts in the Sinai. I love the Sinai. In college we'd go to Sinai like most people head to their nearest coast. It was not our nearest coast. That would have been the Med but Sinai was always our first choice.
It was the kind of place where a man could go out on clear blue waters and fight a sailfish for half the day. One single sailfish. Or another man can sit, intoxicated in the shade, and watch the shadows grow longer.
It is not a place I could imagine several explosions ripping through a luxury hotel.

I never went to Taba. It wasn't my kind of place. But I have a friend who worked there and she is quite disturbed by the whole savage affair.

Talking heads from coast to coast with a pro-Kerry slant are using this as another reason to show that The US is "less safe" under the currant Administration. So, what would Kerry do about this? No, seriously....What would he do?

There's something to be said about the Tin-Foil hat crowd....I mean if something like this *does* happen who else is going to tell us about it?

I'm curious about this sort of thing. There's so much out there that we don't know about and to think that we, as a species, have all the answers is just silly. Trouble is figuring out what might be and what might just be smoke and mirrors.

The debates are two nights away and I for one am excited about it. I know I shouldn't expect much out of it. I mean, there will be no sabres drawn, no shots fired. It will not end in an orgy of violence. It will be good to see these two face off though. I'll make sure to have a bottle of bourbon, snacks and plenty of beer, try and turn it into a real event, instead of a staged and choreographed dance of puppets. Wait...Now I'm starting to sound like one of those Tin-Foil hat people.

An ugly Election Season underway

Well, the whole world is against us, my friends. Now, I know what some of you are saying. You're saying to yourselves "See what comes of going it alone?" and "That's what you get," and that sort of thing. It's this kind of thing that has to make one wonder.

A Springtime Rant

It never does seem to turn out right, does it? That spring time fling. At least the summer fling has better sex. The Spring Thing isn't even really a fling. It's hormones. It's the hormones that make her look so pretty under that particular light. They now know that the brain secretes a secific chemical that, you know....It's like those last few shots at last call...The bartender starts to look good, you know? That's not a Fling. That's hormones.
A Fling has passion. A fling is something you meet by accident just when you'd stopped trying. It is perfectly reasonable to stand on someones street for several hours because one must preserve the integrity of the Fling. A Fling hurts...

I think I'll skip spring altogether and wait for summer. Who knows... things could look better from the other side of several cocktails....

Relax, It's Probably Too Late To Do Anything About It, Anyway

So, my freaky Darlings, they shut down the other site, but we all knew that would happen sooner or later. It's only a matter of time before they'll march their jackbooted feet this way and shut this one down too but until then we'll do what we've always done and try and be a little light in the growing darkness of ignorance and disinformation.

In post September 11th America people have finally realized that cultivating a healthy dose of paranoia and fear is more than just a reaction to a fantastic psycho-emotional trauma. Paranoia can save your life and the lives of others. It's important to remember that whats at war in the world today aren't just countries or political ideologies but entire Paradigms. Peoples whole world persepctives are in conflict and nothing is more dangerous than someone who thinks that their reality is more real than your reality. They're the ones who are willing to strap 10 kilo's of TNT to their backs and explode themselves on a Tel Aviv bus. Of course, they're also the ones who shoot little Palistinian kids on their way to school. They're the same ones who tell you that those strange lights in the sky are nothing more than methane gas igniting in the atmosphere from an over abundance of cow flatulance which is, oh, by the way, Contributing to the Greenhouse Effect and causing GLOBAL WARMING.

Dangerous people and dangerous times, everybody, and for the time being all we can do is keep our eyes and ears open, pay close attention to what's happening and, for the planets sake, Eat More Beef.
